Leadership Changes At Harvest
Harvest Retail Marketing (Harvest), a full-service marketing company working exclusively for Trek bicycle retailers in the U.S., today announced the restructure of its growing firm’s leadership team to meet increased client demand. In addition to offering a full suite of marketing services for Trek retailers, Harvest also serves as Trek Bicycle Corporation's preferred direct mail partner for the brand’s independent retailers.
“Harvest’s business continues to grow quickly on two fronts,” said President and Co-Founder Ryan Atkinson. “The first is our role as a full-service marketing agency, which now serves more than half of Trek’s top 25 dealers. The second is as a high-volume direct mail provider. The two areas require dedicated management that can coordinate in driving consumer traffic to our client retailers, and we need to achieve these results while running an efficient company that is a rewarding place to work.”
To address these needs, the firm’s leadership has realigned as outlined below.
Ryan Atkinson, President and Co-Founder
Ryan will shift his responsibilities to oversee the firm’s growth management, business operations and retail marketing strategy, while providing top-level consulting for Harvest’s clients. Ryan is the industry's premier expert on marketing for Trek retailers, with more than 25 years of industry experience. He has worked in almost every aspect of the Trek retail distribution network, from turning wrenches at a local Trek retailer to launching new products as a marketing manager at Trek Bicycle Corporation. At Harvest he developed the marketing program utilized by many of the nation's top Trek retailers.
Corey Atkinson, Vice President and Co-Founder
Corey will replace Ryan in overseeing the direct mail department with responsibility for sales, client services and operational management. Corey has more than 15 years of sales and management experience in the specialty retail industry. She worked in sales for Trek Bicycle Corporation, Diamondback Fitness and Vision Fitness where she managed 75% of all U.S. accounts. As a business owner Corey brings an entrepreneurial understanding to her role in serving the marketing needs of Harvest’s clients.
Alex Maltese, Marketing Director
Alex will take over Ryan’s former role to oversee the firm’s full-service marketing department, a team Alex has played a leadership role in for the past year. Alex joined Harvest in 2013 following successful career working in advertising for one of the midwest's premier agencies. He has helped transform the capacity and effectiveness of Harvest's full-service marketing agency. Alex develops marketing plans for many of the nation's largest dealers and has collaborated directly with Trek Bicycle Corporation as a paid consultant in helping the bicycle brand develop and test new email marketing tools. Alex currently leads a team of six marketing professionals at Harvest and is Google Adwords certified.
“Our goal with these changes is to ensure that we are managing for growth while delivering the exceptional products and customer service that our clients have come to expect from Harvest,” said Ryan Atkinson. “As the firm has grown we have streamlined operations and hired more top-tier talent, allowing Corey, Alex and me to shift into roles that will help both our clients and Harvest grow.”
Direct mail continues to be very effective for Trek retailers. Trek is reinvesting into their dealer promotions for 2015 and the new management changes at Harvest means the firm is better prepared to handle an influx of new business.
Starting February 9th, Harvest will begin working with U.S. Trek dealers to plan and deliver direct mail supporting Trek Fest, Trek's spring promotional event. In March, the company will launch two new direct mail products, Loyalty Mailers and Lead Generation Mailers. These two new products are designed in response to what Harvest has identified as the biggest marketing needs for retailers.
These changes follow the recent announcements that Harvest has added two more Account Managers to their team, with the addition of Chad Sideris and Ashley Rosonke in the fourth quarter of 2014.
Harvest hired their first full time employee in 2011 and now has a team of ten, with sales more than doubling during that time. On an annual basis, Harvest serves over 100 Trek retailers with some form of marketing. Many of the nation’s largest Trek retailers retain Harvest as their full-time marketing provider, managing all aspect of marketing planning and implementation.
“We are excited about what the future holds for both Harvest and our clients,” continued Ryan. “I am confident that these changes will mean better service and a more robust offering for our existing and future clients.”
