Today I'm proud to share news of an exciting next step for our company. Harvest Retail Marketing is merging with SmartEtailing, the bicycle industry's premier provider of website solutions for independent retailers.

As a Harvest client, I want you to understand why we made this decision and how it will impact you. 

A Natural Fit

Our team at Harvest has grown and is evolving quickly. I believe that this team is at the leading edge of bicycle retail marketing and capable of achieving great things. The majority of our clients use SmartEtailing to deliver web solutions and we are therefore experienced users of SmartEtailing and know how to maximize the system's capabilities.

As the bicycle industry continues to evolve, a retailer's website becomes an even more crucial component of their marketing and sales success. SmartEtailing is in an excellent position to help retailers succeed, and I want the talented team at Harvest to be a significant part of that success.

Our working relationship with SmartEtailing has always been productive, and merging our two companies is a natural next step. Both of our companies exist to serve independent retailers with marketing services, and have teams committed to putting customers first. Each company has unique skills and capabilities that compliment each other perfectly. Our combined company will be able to deliver exceptional web experiences for retailers and provide the marketing expertise to increase website traffic and convert that traffic into sales.

What To Expect

Harvest clients can expect your working relationship with Harvest to remain largely unchanged. Our name will change over time and we are relocating from Omaha to Boulder, but we are deeply committed to ensuring that this transition is seamless for you. Over the next several months, we expect that Harvest and SmartEtailing will operate as separate entities as we learn the most effective way to merge teams and services.

Before the end of the year, the two companies will be folded into a single entity named SmartEtailing. SmartEtailing will have an Agency division which will function like Harvest currently does, providing custom design and consultation to large and multi-store retailers. The team at Harvest will begin informing the construction and messaging delivered by SmartEtailing to subscription customers. Over time, all retailer websites and marketing will improve through this merger.

This is an exciting time for our teams. We are getting started right away with a combined leadership summit this week to begin building our roadmap. I'm looking forward to sharing more updates with you as they become available.
